Job Title: School Administrator

Job Description:  The School Administrator of the Summit School of Destiny is a staff of Andrew Osakwe Ministries International and is responsible for providing effective and efficient operational and administrative support to the school and the academic management team. He/She will hold the responsibility for operational planning and administration of a range of core functions in the school.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Overall provision of administrative support to the School through the academic management team.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the school including the management of academic staff.
  • Establish and oversee class schedules.
  • Create and maintain the school’s yearly calendar.
  • Oversee enrolment of students into the school both onsite and online, and the issuing of scholarships.
  • Research and apply methods to increase student enrolment and retention.
  • Maintain students’ data and monitor yearly growth.
  • Work with the academic leadership team to promote effective communication between the school, the students and intending students.
  • Preparation of school documents and file maintenance (hard and soft copy).
  • Project-manage the annual SSOD graduation ceremony in conjunction with other appointed persons.
  • Ensure all deadlines and goals for each school year are met in a timely manner.
  • Work with the AOMI school committee to gain legal accreditation.
  • Review and implement the school’s policies. Set performance standards for students.
  • Manage receipt and communication of student complaints.
  • Initiate investigations into students’ misconduct.
  • Work with alumni (ASSOD) to build a thriving community.
  • Work with the AOMI social media team to increase publicity outside of Abuja and Nigeria.
  • Perform every other duty as assigned by AOMI management.

Qualifications

  • A sound Christian
  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of administration
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time, task and resource management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to make tough decisions and stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to achieve performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
